The latest movie from Deus is an epic Indonesian road trip
Surf. Bikes. Tattoos. Coffee. Good food… Coast in Poole is the perfect location for the premiere of Deus ex Machina’s latest film, South to Sian.
The 53-minute film, directed by Dustin Humphrey (who previously directed Deus films ‘I had too much to dream last night’ and ‘North to Noosa’) features childhood mates, surf and bikers. One of these is Harrison Roach who just so happens to be one of the world’s best long boarders.
Harrison and his buddy Zye Norris load up their boards and bikes onto a decrepit Land Rover and travel virtually the entire length of the Indonesian archipelago in search of adventure.
We all think we can discover freedom on a road trip, but watching something like South To Sian adds so much to those dreams. Over 2500 miles Harrison and Zye discover playgrounds beyond imagination: potholed back roads to challenge the Land Rover; breathtaking surf on the Bukit Peninsula; incredible lava fields among the Balinese Mountains which Harrison and Zye tackle on ’crossers.
With aspirational action set to a wonderful soundtrack, South to Sian can be streamed live via Garage Entertainment. The DVD is available in Deus stores.
