Issue 25

Worlds collide in this issue of Built. At one end of the spectrum we’re featuring the e-cafe racer from deBolex, surely the most spectacular electric-powered motorcycles yet. And at the other end we’ve got Tom Bing’s road trip from Mumbai to Goa, where bikers still get off on building cool rides out of much more basic motorcyles. I can’t imagine what Indian custom builders would think about using a £25,000 electric bike as a base.

In between these two poles we’ve got a couple of cool Triumphs from Unik in Portugal, a mad, rad Ural bobber from CCW in Moscow, and a Harley Knuckle single created by Kiyo Garage in Cali. Closer to home – but just as stunning – Lamb Engineering are close to finishing their Yamaha XSR700. Enjoy.

Remember this day – it’s the one when you first saw a customised electric bike in Built. There are bound to be more, and if this one is anything to go by there’s hope for us all...
