Issue 27

Welcome to the new QUARTERLY Built

That’s right, it’s not just the cover style that’s changed. Built magazine has returned to its roots and is being published four times a year. You’ve told us you want Built on your coffee table to pick up and savour. You said you want loads of bikes, big reads, great images – to feel the quality – to keep this magazine a premium product. And that’s the plan.

Last issue we were saying how dirt bikes are playing a bigger part in our biking lifestyle and this issue reinforces that real sense of freedom in getting off the tarmac to enjoy adventures in the wilderness.

We fell in love with Biltwell’s outrageous Baja Sportster at Tobacco Dock and the Biltwell guys were kind enough to send the full story of their epic race in the NORRA Mexican 1000.

We’ve also got Fuel’s Himalayan, modified for their own SCRAM Africa ride, plus a pictorial review of the event and Dainese’s new Dunes range of riding gear that’s modelled heavily on their early Dakar participation.

The rest of the mag is as you’d expect – packed full of gems: bikes, people, lifestyle plus a look back at the movie that spawned a whole generation of custom bikes, Easy Rider.
